The University obtains 78 departments where 1032 teachers work. About 7000 students study at the University.

The University offers the following faculties:
- medical;
- paediatrics;
- medical and prophylactic;
- dentistry;
- pharmacy;
- military doctors;
- internship;
- upgrade courses;
- teachers upgrade courses;
- access courses.

The University is the only educational establishment in Ukraine which trains medical officers for Arms Forces of Ukraine, has license for training of specialists in "medical psycholgy"
