UkrISTEI is the main Ukrainian research institute dealing with the problems of coordination of the activity and creation of scientific and methodological basis for the organizations of the National Scientific and Technical Information System, national registration of research and design papers and theses written in Ukraine, the National Coordination Center for international scientific and technical information exchange, the National Center in the international inquiry system Infoterra within the UNO program for environment protection.
