Building Department №463 OJSC «Chornomorhydrobud» was created in 1967 and today it is basic structural subdivision of OJSC «Chornomorhydrobud». Being a general contractor, the department carries out building, reconstruction and capital repair of housing and industrial buildings, including of historical architectural value of the city of Odessa. Among it there are Odessa Opera and Ballet Theatre, funicular near Potemkin stairs, Rafalovich Palace at Pushkin Street and also building of objects of social and domestic purpose.
For the last seven years the volume of building-assembling works extended by 17 times.
The department one of the first has applied ceramic effective brick on its objects in building of multi-storeyed dwelling-houses and mastered technology of monolithic framework house-building. It builds dwelling-houses by individual projects, takes part in development of projects from draft design to issue of working documentation.
The department has own base of production, including shops for manufacturing steel constructions, reinforced concrete and foam concrete wares, concrete units, joiner's shop, different storage facilities and rail access road. For providing building-assembling works the department has necessary machines and mechanisms of national and foreign production: tower, caterpillar and travel cranes with load lifting of 25-75 tons, units for jacking and driving of piles, universal power-shovels, tipper trucks, concrete delivery trucks, cement trucks, tractive vehicles for transportation of heavy machines and tower cranes, etc. Service and repair of building equipment, machines and mechanisms is provided by repair base with proper shops.
Over 600 workers are employed in the department. The department staff is filled with specialists-professionals. Average age is 42 years old. Building Department №463 repeatedly became winner in competitions «Best employer of the year» and «Employer of Ukraine – Leader of the year».

Main feature in department activity is complex approach to the building process, application of new technologies and technical achievements, reduction of terms and increase of quality of building works, satisfaction of demands of customers and investors.
