Auditors Union of Ukraine (AUU) was founded in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "About Auditing Activity" effective since April 22, 1993.

Kharkov Regional Department, registered in 1993 in Kharkov, was one of the first registered territorial affiliated departments of public organization of Auditors Union of Ukraine acting in accordance with The Law of Ukraine "About Auditing Activity", AUU charter, regulation on Kharkov Department of Auditors Union of Ukraine.

Kharkov and Kharkov region are known in Ukraine as a large center of production and business activity in the field of national economics, improvement of legislative base and development of entrepreneurial activities. Auditors of Kharkov Region have considerably contributed to the history of development of auditing movement in Ukraine.

Kharkov Regional Department of Auditors Union of Ukraine (KRD AUU) plays an important role in this movement. Auditors Union is a professional non-governmental self-regulatory non-profit organization that is powerfully concentrating high-level financial culture in the region.

Today having passed trough hard formative stage Kharkov Regional Department of Auditors Union of Ukraine is pushing about 300 highly knowledgeable professional auditors.

As the Regulation says, the objective of Kharkov Regional Department of Auditors Union of Ukraine is integrating of auditors' efforts to protect their legal rights and interests and to contribute to auditing activities development in Kharkov region.

Kharkov Regional Department of Auditors Union of Ukraine has fixed membership in person of membership auditors and their collectives.

Any citizen of Ukraine can become individual member of the Union under condition that he/she has an Auditor Certificate, accepts the Charter of the Union, fulfills his/her obligations as per the Charter and pays membership fees. Collective members of the Union include work collectives of auditing firms. Admission to the Union individual membership is performed by a regional department of the Union on the basis of auditor's written application.

Professional mutually beneficial co-operation partnership connects KRD AUU with Lawyers Union, Court on Economic Activity, Union of Attorneys, National bank, State Committee on Valuable Securities and Stock Market, Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Committee on Bankruptcy, Society of Valuers, Institutions of Higher Education and other organizations.

Kharkov Regional Department of Auditors Union of Ukraine does its best to improve the qualification standards of auditors in the field of accounting and auditing, participates at various levels in the improvement of financial control and auditing procedure in Ukraine in accordance with international auditing systems and ensures integration of the country into the world community.
