In 1998 as a result of re-structuring Izyum of an instrument-making factory name of Dzerjinsky of name the independent self-supporting enterprise - Izum State-Owned Plant of Oftalmologic Lens is formed.

The purpose of re-structuring was creation of the only thing in Ukraine of the modern competitive enterprise for release glasses optics on the closed work cycle.
The factory has two industrial sites: a site on a gain of a glass and pressing glasses preparations from liquid glasses substance and an optical site on processing glasses preparations on automatic transfer lines with application of the diamond tool.

Capacities of a factory now allow to make:
- glasses preparations - 10 million pieces per one year, including stigmatics, diameters from 50 up to 72 mm, a refraction from 00 up to + 20 dp., and also astigmatics and biphokals in any assortment under the documentation of the customer;
- glasses stigmatics lenses I and II groups " 2,5 million pieces in one year in diameters 64, 65, 68 and 70 mm, a refraction from 00 up to + 6,0 dp. with step 0,25 dp.
