President – Victor Dzenzerskiy

In December 2001 in Kharkov (Ukraine) the Ukrainian-Russian economical business forum under the guidance of President of the Russian Federation and President of Ukraine has been held. Addressing the presidents of Russian Federation and Ukraine the participants of the forum have backed up the initiatives of the presidents, directed at overall development of bilateral trade and economic relations between Russia and Ukraine. The establishment of joint Russian-Ukrainian ventures aimed at essential increase of mutual investments and commodity turnover was determined as one of the most perspective trends of cooperation.

The participants of the forum have considered the introduced projects. The establishment of joint ventures for the construction of new accumulator plants and modernization of the existing ones both in Russia and Ukraine was determined one of the most important trends of co-operation. These plants should be aimed at production of accumulator batteries for all types of transport, agricultural machinery and military enginery, communication systems and telecommunications, atomic power stations. The establishment of non-polluting works for waste batteries salvaging has been given top priority.
Closed Joint Stock Company "Kursk Accumulator Plant", Kursk, Russia (General director - Mr. A.F. Yager), and WESTA International Scientific Industrial Corporation, Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine (President - Mr. V.A. Dzenzersky) were determined the basic executors of this co-project.

International Scientific Industrial Corporation "Wind Energy Solar Technologies Accumulating" (WESTA ISIC), established in 2002, integrates several companies, bound by property relations and includes both manufacturing and technological divisions.

Manufacturing group includes the following companies:

Limited Liability Company "ISTOK" (LLC "ISTOK", Kursk, Russian Federation)
Russian-Hungarian-Ukrainian LLC "ISTOK" established in June 2002 is the producer of starter storage batteries under "IsToK" trademark.
Presently products under "IsToK" trademark are present in the market of Russia, Ukraine and neighbouring countries.
"IsToK" batteries according to European classification, fall by their characteristics to "BASE-PLUS" class and are in full conformity with the requirements of EN-60095-1 standard.
"IsToK" batteries are made from super-pure raw materials of unique natural deposits using the newest technologies. Computer-controlled equipment provides high accuracy in manufacturing of all components of the battery, which in combination with corrosion-resistant grid and special anti-sulphating additives allows battery users to correct density and level of electrolyte only once in two years. High quality and durability of the active material of electrodes are ensured by application of special production technology and forming by modulated currents. Due to a series of improvements, including the increase of the active surface of electrodes, 30 per cent increase of discharge current compared to similar characteristics of the batteries of the same class has been achieved. The application of corrosion-resistant and strong grid, enveloped separator, special geometry of shunts and special additives to the active material ensure a failure-free operation of "IsToK" batteries even in extreme conditions.
"IsToK" batteries are intended for those people who wish to ensure reliable engine start-up even in the most unfavourable conditions for 4 years at minimum service costs without any risk for themselves and their car.

Closed Joint Stock Company "Westa - Dnepr"(Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine)
Closed Joint Stock Company "Westa-Dnepr" has been established for development and implementation of the ambitious project on production of starter sealed VRLA batteries and industrial accumulator batteries using new technologies.

Technological support of manufacturing group of companies of WESTA ISIC is executed by Limited Liability Company "Transmag" (LLC "Transmag, Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine), whose specialists are engaged in applied scientific research and analysis, design effort, implementation of technical innovations and technological novelties aimed at creation of new productions with more advanced technology based on acquired experience and knowledge. The employees of LLC "Transmag" together with Institute of Transport Systems and Technologies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine participate in development of designs and technologies for production of autonomous systems for continuous power supply as well as electric power storage devices.
Since 1992 till 2001 specialists of WESTA ISIC (in that time Ista company), together with scientists and technicians of Institute of Transport Systems and Technologies of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine have designed and constructed two modern plants of starter lead-acid storage batteries production and one plant of used batteries, waste and lead scrap salvaging. All three plants meeting all European standards have been constructed and are successfully operated in Dnepropetrovsk.

Today the principal aspect of WESTA ISIC activity is the organization of the integrated power systems production on a turnkey basis; construction of high-tech, automated and profitable plants on production of both electric power storage devices and storage batteries as well as monitoring and control over manufacturing process. Organization process includes design and erection of the plants; selection, installation, adjustment, balancing and commissioning of equipment, technological support of manufacturing process, author tracking and supervision of manufacturing. The products developed by the companies of WESTA ISIC include autonomous power supply systems based on use of photoconverters of solar energy; windmills with accumulators and management systems; NiMH batteries, hydrogen fuel cells, power sources for hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), accompanying goods.
