79 000 employees at more than 1 000 locations in 72 countries. Cargill has been active in Ukraine since 1991. With headquarters in Kyiv, the company today employs 180 people in commodity marketing, distribution of farm machinery and
fertilizer, financial markets, food ingredient sales, oilseed processing and seed production and distribution activities.

In 1991 Cargill began joint venture with Corn Research Institute in Dnipropetrovsk. Sales of hybrid sunflower and corn seeds began.

1993 - Office in Kyiv opened. Soursing and export of grain and other commodity materials, and food product sales are coordinated
here.

1995 - Sunflower Seed Conditioning plant built. Fertilizer warehousing and distribution in operation. Oilseed crushing financed to supply vegetable oil demand.

1997 - Office in Donetsk opened.
