Mission:
- Strengthening of the role of public organizations in the process of democratization of society;
- Implementing new forms of co-operation between enterprises.

"Podillya Pershyi" Program is implemented by private persons' initiative.

NATIONAL OPERATIONS:
From the onset of its activities Podillya Pershyi NGO pursued active cooperation with Ukrainian institutions and enter-prises.
Khmelnitsky Oblast Administration has supported Podillya Pershyi Program. Under the Oblast auspices the directors of enterprises are invited to Program briefings', and to organizing meetings for clusters.
During the first year of work the Association actively collaborated with the International Center for Policy Studies (ICPS). Association rep-resentatives participated in the conferences and seminars conducted by the ICPS. A significant event in the relationships was the publication of an issue of the journal: Policy Studies (February 1999) entirely devoted to the application of the "cluster model" for industry sector development implemented by Podillya Pershyi Program. Articles on the Program's work have appeared in the local and national press as well as in professional journals: The Technological University of Podi-lya Review and other journals.
The Technological University of Podillya plays an important, active, role in the development of PPP. Students-designers and the Students' House of Fashions contribute to an Association apparel cluster project of creating a unique woman's fashion cap. Models from the Students House
of Fashion presented the fashion caps at the Days of Khmelnychchyna in the Capital, and at the exhibition "Ukraine Step into the New Millennium". Products from the apparel clus-ter were praised ... and contracts signed.
The Association also participated in the work of numerous international conferences and seminars, as well as in meetings with representatives from International Financial Institutions. Participation in conferences and exhibitions affords opportunities for "networking"
