Open Joint-Stock Company "Ukrainian Oil and Gas Institute" was founded in 1994. Today the Institute is the leading establishment in oil-and-gas industry of Ukraine and solves concrete technical and technological problems of its development.

Scientific and project developments of the Institute have been widely implemented in China, Syria, Iraq, Argentina, Poland and Bulgaria.
Industrial establishments built according to the projects of the Institute are being successfully exploited in Ukraine, Byelorussia, Kazakhstan, Western Siberia, Yakutia and in other countries.

OJSC “Ukrainian Oil and Gas Institute” comprises such sub-units:
- Scientific Department in Kyiv;
- Design Department in Kyiv;
