World Bank Group is an international development organization that helps developing member countries to achieve economic as well as social progress.

On the world capital markets, the World Bank Group lends money to Ukraine and other countries with lower income levels.

The World Bank Group is managed by the Board of Executive Directors who represent interests of their countries in the Group. Ukraine is one of 180 members and shareholders of the World Bank and it owns 0.77% shares.

The World Bank Group specializes in supporting the flow of foreign capital to Ukraine through its own credit programs. They cooperate with other official creditors and coordinate efforts of donors with the help of their consulting groups.

Analytical work of the Bank helps to develop common structure of international support in the areas of study of macroeconomics, energy, agriculture, finance, and social sectors.

The Bank's credit system gives donors an opportunity to complete financial projects with rather low expenses in comparison with the preparational efforts.
