On April 15, 1992, the National Bank of Ukraine registered Joint-Stock Commercial Bank "Basis". During these years, a small bank turned into a full-bodied financial institution. The Bank's credo is as follows: success based on the stability and reliability of the Bank as a financial institution; partner relations with customers based on mobility, responsibility, and flexibility in decision-making.
During all the years of business in the banking service market (already 11 years), the Bank's priorities have remained unchanged:

Today, the principal office of the Bank is located in the very heart of the city at 4 Maryanenko Lane and First Kharkiv Branch of the Bank occupies a new building at 85/87 Plekhanivska St. A convenient parking, spacious and modern floors, a high professionalism of officers and employees, and prompt servicing are at customers' service. 15 branches of the Bank have been already established in different locations in the city for the convenience of Kharkovites.

During 2002, the number of business current accounts increased by 37.75 %, of deposit accounts of individual 5.6 times. Today, the Bank offers to the public 12 kinds of deposits in both domestic and foreign currencies. In 2002, the Bank's loan portfolio increases actually 2.5 times. Kharkovites' confidence in the Bank increased as well. The Bank is successful in promoting new banking products. From the beginning of 2003, inhabitants of Kharkiv may use consumer's loans to purchase consumer goods, cars, and houses. This scheme is effective in the event of hire-purchases of goods from any commercial facilities provided that a loan debtor pays at least 30 percent of such goods.

One of the priority lines of activities of JSCB "Basis" is providing services connected with issuing and servicing Visa International and MasterCard International cards. The Bank has issued and served EuroCard/MasterCard since 2001; since the same year, the Bank has served Visa cards.

For customer convenience, JSCB "Basis" offers various card products based on special rate scales. Each of these products can be realized using a card of any kind.

In 2003, the Bank developed and put into service a multi-function web-site - http://www.basis.com.ua, on which there is always available information of Bank's fresh news, services and rates, cash and noncash currency exchange rates. Now, those customers of our Bank who hold Basis's payment cards can receive their account statements via Internet.

The Bank pays a special attention to charitable activities. To support children is paramount with the Bank.
Those who were regularly aided include Kharkiv City Organization "Foundation for Saving Ukrainian Children and Teenagers from Drugs"; Korolenko Blind Children Boarding Gymnasium, Boarding School No. 4 for orphans children, City Arabs Foundation and others.
The support of physical culture and sports is one more line of the Bank's charitable activities. This includes assistance in running international competitions in various sports, the financing of STAL', a children soccer club in Kyiv, Kharkiv Regional Department of the National Olympic Committee, and DYNAMO Sports Society.
