Regional Business Assistance Center (RBAC) is a high-tech firm created in 1995 to provide services related to selection and training of personnel to work in market environment; consulting services in the development and implementation of investment projects; and marketing services to Ukrainian and foreign companies under the conditions of economic globalization.
In consequence of winning a tender, in 1996-1999 RBAC worked within the international small and medium business support network NEWBIZNET, conducting training courses in modern marketing methods for more than 2,400 entrepreneurs and providing informational and consulting support to enterprises of the region.
In 1999-2000 RBAC provided consulting support for the creation of the Center for Nuclear Fuel and Reactor Core Design; in 2000-2001 it organized the development of Strategy for Sustained Growth of Employment in Kharkiv, Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts; it designed and successfully implemented the project of setting up a Job Center (“Birzha Truda”) in Kharkiv.
RBAC is the leading Ukrainian company in the field of developing and producing presentational, informational and training CD-ROMs. To the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, RBAC produced the official catalogue of Ukrainian enterprises’ investment projects, CD-ROM “Ukraine. A Look to the 21st Century”, for the meeting of the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development in Kyiv. The Center also created a multimedia catalogue “Ukraine’s Tourism Potential”, a reference book of business promotion sources “Business-CD”, a system of collection and distribution of price-lists “Bank of Commercial Offers”, a presentation catalogue of Ukraine for the CEBIT exhibition of information technologies in Hanover, Germany, a series of regional catalogues of Ukrainian enterprises’ products, presentation multi-media CD-ROMs and laser business cards for the State Property Fund of Ukraine.
In 2000 RBAC developed a low-cost technology for the production of multimedia manuals on CD-ROMs and distance learning systems and produced the manuals “Ukrainian Business: Roads to Success”, “Marketing Assistance Program”, and “Fundraising”.
In 2001 RBAC created a new multimedia technology to present materials of scientific and business conferences, seminars and symposiums, and a CD-ROM “Crimean Spring of Conversion 2001” was issued.
In 2000-2001, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, RBAC produced a series of presentation CD-ROMs “Ukraine Today: Proposals for Business Cooperation” to be distributed during the visits of official delegations and through the foreign representative offices of Ukraine in 81 countries. The Center set up an electronic showcase of products manufactured by Ukrainian enterprises with the purpose of establishing business contacts between Ukrainian and foreign businesses.
Multimedia presentation and training systems are created in Ukrainian, Russian, English, German, French and Chinese languages.
RBAC also initiated creation of a marketing association of Ukrainian business centers, Association for Business Development, which unites business centers based in the major Ukrainian cities.
